Overview of YDOS 2025
The youth day of service is initiatives organized by LEAD African organization aimed with empowering the African youth and to equip the necessary resource, knowledge and skills they need to lead the sustainable development across the continent. This program is only event but it is a powerful call for action that fosters meaningful service activities in order to accelerate community empowerment.
The youth day of service is an annual event intended to celebrate African’s youth through volunteerism, The main vision of the events is inspire young people to take their role of leadership and responsibility, and positive change. YDOS mobilizes thousands of young people across the African Nations to implement impactful community service projects and ideas that will result a last impact in the community level.
The 2025 edition promises to be bigger, louder, and more inclusive uniting young people under a shared banner of action, hope, and transformation.

Model of Participation
Young Africans are invited to participate as:
- Volunteers: Join ongoing projects and give your time, energy, and skills to make a difference.
- Project Leaders: Have a solution-driven idea? YDOS encourages you to design and lead your own service project.
- Partners & Sponsors: Organizations and individuals committed to supporting youth-led development are invited to collaborate.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for YDOS in 2025 you must meet below requirements:
- Your age must be between 18 and 35 years old at the of application
- Be living in an African Country or African Diaspora
- Be willing and passionate community development and volunteering activities
- Commit to full participate in YDOS activities between August and September 2025
- No previous experience is needed but read to serve and lead

How to Apply
To apply, participants need to:
- Fill out the online registration form via the YDOS official website.
- For project leaders: Submit a detailed plan outlining the project objectives, target beneficiaries, timeline, and resources required.
- For volunteers: Indicate interest areas and availability to be matched with ongoing projects.
Application Deadline
rolling basis – early applications are highly encouraged to ensure project visibility and volunteer support.
