About the Amahoro Coalition Fellowship
The Amahoro Coalition Fellowship is a program which running a period of 12 months, this program is focusing on leadership development and entrepreneurship support with a target for individuals consider themselves or living forcibly Displaced Persons(FDP). This outstanding program is intended to empower youth for particularly FDP leaders to foster their knowledge, skills, capacity and their voice to meaningfully contribute the development across Africa and systematic change in their Institution.
In addition, the program is further accelerating dynamic environment to amplify youth their idea on regional and global platforms in order to tie their professional network and access to various career and development opportunities. The program will allow the fellows to collaborate their community, and build last impact in the field of interest.
The program is deeply tailored to socio-economic reality in Africa, by offering courses that improve the entrepreneurial and leadership space. Throughout the fellowship, the fellows will equip a personalized coaching, mentorship expert-led training and strategic development to drive and act agency of change makers in a complex Environment context.
The program is offering its fellows a very competitive funding process, where fellows have the chance to secure up to $155,000 each to enhance their bold idea and innovative initiatives.
Furthermore, the Amahoro fellowship is looking for youth to strength and build their capacity of self-reliance, resilience and leadership capacity in the region of Africa. After the program fellows will drive social and economic progress in their community and beyond.
Fellowship Activities
During the program fellows will participate a numerous activities including but not limiting to:
- Develop and create business idea and ventures and social initiatives in Africa
- Share insights and knowledge among the participant that focus leadership journey, challenges and solutions
- Engage with private sectors to maintain partnership and access to market based opportunities
- Daily participating in specialized trainings, mentorship, and networking opportunities
- Compete the fund opportunities to foster your ventures or initiatives
Fellowship Requirements
- No Formal education required
- Applicants should demonstrate their leadership experience
- Leading and directing a business venture no matter unregistered but proof will be required
- Be actively participate or leading social change movement such as community activism, youth leadership and more
- Must have a stable internet connections and accessible computer or smartphone
Ability to submit professional reference and resume
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the program must meet the following requirements to be eligible fellowship
- Consider him or herself as a forcibly displaced person whether you are refugee, asylum seekers, stateless person
- Be living or based in Africa and have initiatives that impacted already in African community
- Have Proof of FDP status
- Be able to provide evidence of business operation activities
- Be ready to participate in all program activities over the 12 months period
Time Required
- The fellowship is a 12-month commitment
- Consistent engagement through virtual sessions and mentorship
- The workload is part-time so fellows can continue their regular responsivity
