About the ALC Associate Fellowship

ALC Associate Fellowships through the African Leadership Centre associate fellowship is a program designed to empower like-minded and talented young people to unlock their talents, capacity, and energy to make a transformative impact. Associate fellowship is now offering a big opportunity to all youth from African nations and from the global south leaders to equip and build advanced knowledge, skills, and insight in the perspectives of peace, security, and development. The fellowship is focusing on three main themes during the period of program.

Through the King’s College London, the fellows will engage in an intensive master’s program followed by a numerous mentoring sessions, policy discussing, trainings, simulations and attaching the leading institutions in the Africa to fellows’ practical insights, and experience during the program study.

The Fellowship is deeply targeting the next generation youth leaders who has a good track record of past or current contribution in their community. this fellowship merges academic rigor with real-world leadership practice, fostering a vibrant network of change makers across Africa and the Global South.

Requirements

To be fit for the program all potential applicants must  meet the following requirements for the fellowship:

  • Must have citizenship of an eligible African or Global south nations
  • Have a strong interesting or commitment in the theme of fellowship peace, security and development
  • Abide by the all values upheld by the program
  •  Have a strong academic qualification whether undergraduate or post graduate
  • Apply for the MSC Global Leadership and peace at King’s Collage
  • Be ready to learn for full time study beginning in September 2025

Eligible Countries

  • African community including all nations across the African continent
  • Global South Countries: Including Latin America, Asia, Oceania

Fellowship Timeline

The Time period of this fellowship runs is 18 months for African scholars, 12 months of the program will be academic study and 6 months of extra practical attachments in the African leading institution in Peace, security and development.

For the associate fellows for both African fellows and Global south students underway the academic year in 2025 up to 2026 start  from September and concludes in August 2026 and availability of  short term attachments.
