AI Policy Fellowship in 2025

Fellowship Overview
AI Policy fellowship through Institute of AI and policy strategy is a non-profit that conducts policy research across various industry particular focus intersection of AI policy and security. The institute is mainly cover three main area including compute policy, frontier security and international strategy.
The institute is now accepting the application for IAPS AL policy fellowship, this is a full funded, three month program for professional from a variety of background who seeking to expand and further investigate practical skills for managing and controlling the challenges from Advanced AI field. On the other hand the program will discover a new opportunities and models that will address the AI fast growing area in order to mitigate its side effect.
The fellowship is fully in person in D.C or can do remotely from home based; all fellows will come together for a required in-person residency in D.C for a period of September 1st and 12 November in 2025. Selected fellows will strengthen AI policy through taking part a various track record projects leading by experts in the field of AI and they will involve projects such as write policy pieces, organizing ambitious convening and briefing officials.
In addition, senior fellows will also receive a financial support to cover their accommodation and other expenses, for a period of three month program, senior fellow will get $22,000 as stipend and normal fellows will receive $15,000. The institute can provide part-time option for exceptional candidates

Fellowship Benefit
After you have successfully complete the fellowship time, the institute will allow preparing a smooth transition into an AI policy career. Whether you are want to work in government, think tank, or industry, therefore the program will equip all fellows the fundamental knowledge, skills and network they needed to succeed their career.
It also fellows will closely working the leading expert in the field of AI to get practical knowledge during the program and this is including:
- Peer to peer coaching from the IAPS fellowship coordinated on career development, productivity and project management
- Daily support from senior researchers and policy staff such as weekly work in progress and consistently feedback
- Access to professional network in order to identify big opportunities and financial assistance in a various field to support career transition after the program
Join the Community in Washington or Remotely
If you are willing to join the community in Washington, you will begin the program within two weeks in-person residency, you will connect with all other follows and the team of IAPS team in order to meet designated expert and participate the training program on AI modules and policy challenges.
On the other hand, fellows who will prefer to the join the program remotely, IAPS will provides multiple ways to connect the program and each fellow DC. Or remote will receive a support budget that can be used in-person opportunities, this including attending meeting and conferences with their attached mentors. IAPS has a professional system that allow fellow to participate remote work and legally hire in many countries
