Youth4Climate’s Call for Solutions 2025
Introduction
Youth4Climate Over 1.9 billion young people in the world, which makes up the largest youth in history. Young people are actively contributing to the transformative climate action as their knowledge increases dramatically; youth are playing vital roles such as inventors, entrepreneurs, negotiators, and acting as agents for change. Therefore, youth currently face numerous challenges that impact their aspiration, and some of them are a lack of financial, technical, and political resources and capacity building in order to fulfill their potential towards climate change.
In response, the government of Italy and UNDP are launching a collaboration to range the knowledge partners and youth constituencies, and they set up an initiative to support and scale youth-led partners’ climate through the youth4climate initiative.
Youth4Climate has now officially opened its 3rd call for solutions to inviting all youth-led organizations involved in or working on innovative climate projects to apply for this call for application in order to receive funding and mentorship to turn their innovative idea into tangible action. The call is open to only 159 nations and territories where UNDP is actively working.
Y4C call for solution is a worldwide innovation challenge for youth and youth-led organizations who have been contributing for many years climate action projects. The main purpose of the call is to fund existing youth-led solutions that are ready to implement and enhance the youth’s ideas and projects, relevant learning opportunities.
Apart from 2023, through the first call for application, youth4climate has allocated more than 2.5 million USD in both direct funding and indirect over 100 youth-led project initiatives across 52 countries
Call for Solutions 2025
In 2025, the youth4climate call for solutions will become the third round of funding opportunities for every young person aged 18 to 29 and a youth-led organization. Call for solution, you can request the amount of fund up to 30,000 USD in seed funding, and the successful applicants will also gain a number of further benefits, including:
- Meetings and visibility at the country level, regional, and global that will allow to enable the scaling and growth of their projects
- Capacity and mentorship offers such as empowerment programs, group workshops, peer-t peer mentorship and project pitching and feedback at each stage
Who Can Apply?
- Young individuals aged 18 to 29 and whoever meet the eligibility criteria
- A legally registered NGO, CSO, and CBO with the majority leadership of the organization are young people at the time submitting your application
- The proposal projects should be implemented on the countries covered by UNDP
- The project lead must be national of one the countries listed guidelines
- The project proposal must be 24 months in the period of the implementation

The Call for the application will fund youth-led solutions in 6 thematic areas:
- Sustainable energy this is focuses sustainable and advancing just transition
- Food and Agriculture: build resilient, equitable and food system
- Climate and Health: addressing health challenge and linked climate
- Digital for planet: fostering digital solution for climate action and biodiversity
- Climate, peace and security: solution for peace-positive climate adaption and mitigation
- Nature for climate action: Conserving and restoring natural ecosystem
How to Apply for the Call?
To submit your call for application you have to follow the 5 steps listed below and each step should be done as required, otherwise you will not respect your call for proposal
Step 1
- Visit the call for solution 2025 guideline and check the available template. After that if you are not a member of this online platform, you will need to register first and create a professional profile on the youth4climate platform to access the page
Step 2
- Download and carefully read all the guidelines. It will indicate you everything you needed the call for application such as the requirements and important information
Step 3
- Download and fill out all the budget and work plan template and prepare 3 minute video pitching your solution using the instruction provided in the call.
- Applicants who do not use the provided templates or do not submit the video will be disqualified.
Step 4
- Finish your proposal via the application platform and attach the template provided in the space
Step 5
- Upload your recording video and submit your final application
